ICD Dx category codes 946 and 949

Dx category codes 946 and 949 - what's the difference?

Can you give an example?

946 are for burns of multiple sites - if you can use other burn codes to report one or two burns use those - otherwise you can use this multiple burn code.

949 should hopefully be rarely used - it means the documentation indicated a burn but not where.
